The Challenge
The Wagner group are surface technology specialists. The company has been supplying the DIY, trade and industrial sectors for more than 60 years and is the worldwide market leader. Wagner equipment is used in many sectors but is especially well established in the car industry.
The group develop and supply high quality, advanced equipment for treating surfaces. The Wagner internet presence should unite the group´s professional capabilities and an up-to-date design. The inclusion of a user-friendly customer service function was also a prerequisite.
The Solution
Using the group´s corporate design as the basis, the website achieves a balance between the professional capabilities of the group with a fresh approach using slideshows and dynamics tabs.
Apart from the stylish layout, the site incorporates some new exciting features thanks to the use of TYPO3. The download centre provides customers with all of the important product details. These are available individually in PDF format. The new design is significantly more user-friendly than the old site in this regard.
A new location-based search feature allows the user to quickly find Wagner teams in the vicinity. The search function is designed around the company´s four main business areas so the user gets the required information with only a couple of clicks. A search based on post/zip codes is also possible.
Visitors can also find detailed product information quickly and efficiently using the product finder.
A newsletter, customised for special interest groups, updates customers on their special area of interest.
The new optimised search function (SolR-Search) offers efficient search options which allow visitors to find products of interest to them quickly and efficiently.
Finally, the website incorporates a „Careers“ function which is fully integrated with the group´s Human Resources department.
The Result
An attractive website was developed which met the client´s needs – professional and up-to-date.
Visitors find what they are looking for effortlessly and are offered tips along the way. Despite the vast amount of information ( about the comprehensive range of WAGNER products ) available, the user always has an overview and gets to learn about the company as well as its products. The relationship between the company and the visitor is enhanced by the user-friendly nature of the website. A special feature of the new website is a newsletter which is customised for the individual visitor.
