In most animations Avonis uses JavaScript frameworks. For more extensive animations which exceed the possibilities of Ajax we often use Adobe Flash. Additionally we also take care of fallback solutions to also make a good impresion when it comes to mobile devices.

Avonis launches Axel Springer Vertriebsservice GmbH website

Axel Springer Vertriebsservice GmbH, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Europe´s leading media conglomerate, Axel Spring AG, has been one of the „Big Players“ in the press distribution market for more than 25 years. The ASV has repositioned itself in recent years to become a full service provider. The brief from the client : Our internet presence needs to reflect our position as market leader. Avonis won the contract not just for a quick paint job but for a thorough overhaul of the web presence. 


* JavaScript-animated coverflow with accessible database connection in area of reference.


Avonis used the approach of creating a serious and trustworthy web presence focussing on refernce customers.  This meant complying with the already-existing CI-guidelines of Axel Springer AG  but nevertheless creating a very own image. It was the variety of topics that should be emphasized.  The message to be sent with a twink was: “No matter who, no matter what – we are the ones to have distributed it already. This message was implemented in a visual on the start page via a flash animation. Within the references section we added a JavaScript-animated coverflow showing current references via a direct link to the database. It also shows the varitey of topics provided by ASV.

The Result

The new web presence of Axel Springer Vertriebsservice GmbH comes up to the public expectations. Yet it has it very own looks although it duly respects the CI of Axel Springer CI.  Nevertheless the design, page structure and also the user-friendly homepage show the distinguishment to the competitors. The USP of the ASV company is being emphasized, and it also demonstrates to the website's visitors that the company is a strong partner especially in regard of adding to sales and profit. By use of the content management system TYPO3 every content of the new website can be edited and developed, even including the coverflow.
